High-end real estate photography and brand design for the Texas real estate market.

The short version

Why photography

My first photographs were phone snapshots in the mid-2000s. In 2008 I got a puppy, and I wanted to keep what he looked like at eight weeks. The phone couldn't do it. That frustration stayed with me for seven years, until I bought my first DSLR in 2015.

What followed was deliberate. Action photography with dogs in 2016. Street photography at night in 2019, where I learned what a camera does with almost no light. Abandoned buildings in 2021 — empty rooms, hard shadows, no second chance. In 2022, Oktoberfest and the European Athletics Championships in Munich, both of which taught me to work fast without losing precision.

Why houses

Looking at other people's homes was a childhood fascination of mine, and it never wore off. What I care about now is a photograph that is technically and stylistically exact. Straight verticals. Honest color. Light that shows what a room actually feels like to stand in.

I came here from Germany for the heat, the language, and the open distances. Texas gave me something I hadn't expected: ranches with real architectural presence, and a golden hour that is spectacular far more often than it has any right to be.

How I work

I notice detail. Things that most people walk past, I see immediately — an angle that's off by a degree, a color cast in a corner, a reflection that doesn't belong. It's how my attention works, and it's the reason my images hold up under scrutiny.

I'm also a designer, which means you get one person for the photographs and the materials they end up in. And I'm calm on site, and reliable about what I promise.

How a shoot works

01 — Before the day

We set the shot list on a short call: what the property should show, how many images you need, and when it will be ready. I work out the best time of day from the address and the orientation of the house. You get a prep checklist for the owner — the property should be clean and clutter-free when I arrive.

02 — On site

Two to three hours for a typical home. I adjust furniture for the frame, set the lights and blinds, and shoot from a tripod — straight verticals, rooms in their true proportions.

03 — Delivery

Edited images within 48 hours, in web and print sizes, plus vertical crops for social. Full usage rights for listing and marketing.

Building the Austin book

I'm taking on a limited number of properties at no charge while I build my Austin portfolio. Same gear, same editing, same delivery window — the trade is that I get to publish the images.

Who — agents, owners, builders, stagers, and short-term rental hosts in Greater Austin.

I get — permission to publish the images and to name the property.

You get — the full edited gallery, with unlimited rights for listing and marketing.

When — a handful of shoots per month, booked in order of enquiry.

No people in the pictures, and nothing goes online without your approval.
